The Outcast Layer
To belong to yourself is its own kind of exile.
A shape that refuses to sit where it is expected. A charcoal sleeveless layer of displaced panels, cut long and left deliberately raw.
Form & construction +
- Long, deconstructed sleeveless vest
- Sharp standing collar
- Displaced layered panels
- Narrow mesh insert
- Controlled raw seams
Material intention +
A charcoal cloth with a narrow mesh insert and controlled raw edges. Fibre composition, weight and finish will be confirmed through sampling.
Fit & development +
An intentionally oversized proportion. Measurements, size range and final fit will be defined through physical sampling. These images do not represent a manufactured garment.
Care & provenance +
Fabric tests, care instructions, maker and production origin are not yet established. Future physical garments will receive individual records supported by real production information.
“To belong to yourself is its own kind of exile.”
The familiar shape begins to come apart. A collar rises; a seam moves; a layer refuses to sit where it is expected. The distance between the individual and the crowd becomes a place to stand.
